Sooooo awesome. Orly "Gumdrop" UGGGH So pretty. I'm wearing Essie's Greenport, which is similar to that but it's a little darker. I'm so sad because I'm half-way through my bottle and it's limited edition.. Julia, have you tried finding discount stores? We have a ton of nail supply stores here that sell them for around 1/2 (if not slightly less) than retail. |

Thanks Julia! Luckily in Vancouver OPI's are cheap (I saw them in Mannings going for like $132HKD? omg...), and sometimes I can find Orly in Winners for super cheap. But that particular Orly colour I had to buy in HK because it's sooo hard to find Orly collections in full in Canada.
It was $120HKD. Sob. Still, I couldn't pass up such a gorgeous colour even for that price! Haha I loooove going through the nail polish piles in Sasa, though I never end up buying any of them except for the occasional Revlon. Almost bought a couple ones last time, but didn't at the last minute. Oh, weird question...I dunno if you experience this, but in HK my nail polish bubbles SO BADLY. I get like 30-40 bubbles if I'm not careful. Ughh. Glad I'm back in Canada now hah Thanks Tina! Just looked up Greenport (must've come out before I started my n/p obsession) and it's gorgeous! Luckily there are a lot of colours like this nowadays so you can hopefully find a dupe? Maybe China Glaze For Audrey? which is supposedly a dupe for Orly Gumdrop. I actually wish I could get the Essie one cus the Orly one is super temperamental, sometimes it applies smoothly and other times it's a goopy mess. |

Glad I'm back in Canada now oh. i dont think i've ever had a bubbling problem here. but interestingly, when i went to thailand i got serious bubble problems. it was so weird lol. ive never seen nail polish in mannings (or i just dont look hard enough.. i usually end up in the foods section) |

OMG Gigi... gumdrop is beautiful! Does Orly dry fairly quickly?
damn I want to buy the whole China Glaze up and away line from amazon.. I never found the time to go buy it, even though it came out a while ago D; Look up China Glaze's Four Leaf Clover - such a beautiful teal-green... OMG. I love cremes - I think the shimmery/glittery nail polishes are SO DIFFICULT to get a smooth finish! They look smooth in some lighting, but damn I can still see the brush strokes no matter what! Brush strokes annoy me so much! Damn I need to get some nail polish, but I haven't gotten any for a long time because I've been working at the library for the past 3 years, and my nails (and hands) are so beat up... D; I have to quit after next month though.. So yay I can wear nail polish again and grow out my nails Time to train and get my nail technician license... LMAO "BEAUTIFUL NAILLLL". |

LMAO. omg i know what you mean...I hate not getting a smooth finish. It's nearly impossible with shimmer/frosts! I don't mind dark shimmers though, it sort of glows in the sun but indoors looks like a flat creme.
Woot for quitting your library job and having nice nails! haha. I totally wouldn't work in food/drink cus I can't do my nails, and I'm totally addicted right now. that's a dealbreaker! ooOOOooO Four Leaf Clover looks super pretty! I wish I could buy China Glaze readily in Canada :( it's hard to find! Orly dries pretty quickly, but I have trouble with Gumdrop because it can be pretty thick and therefore cause some drying problems. I just have to be super careful with application! |

Chanel Vertigo, but I absolutely love all of these colors. Highly recommended if you're willing to pay $25+/color. This post has been edited by tokyo-rose: Jul 27 2012, 03:18 AM
